The Yorkshire Wolds is a beautiful place to stay. It has stunning countryside abundant with wildlife, cycling trails, woodland walks and some of the top tourist spots in Yorkshire. Here’s a selection of some of our favourite places to stay, from glamping to Grade II listed halls...

Highfield Farm, Southburn

Recently converted from a former farmstead, Highfield Farm is set in a beautiful location in the Yorkshire Wolds. It has nine luxury bed and breakfast rooms surrounded by private farmland, so you’ll be sure to have a peaceful night’s sleep here! Each room is named after a village in the Yorkshire Wolds and has double or twin beds. The food here just has to be sampled; with an adjoining cookery school you can rest assured it’s of the highest quality! This the perfect place for those who want to explore nearby tourist attractions, cycling enthusiasts who want to try one of the Wolds’ many trails, or nature-spotters who want to see some of the local wildlife.

Saltmarshe Hall, Howden

This historic, Grade II listed 19th century house is a beautiful countryside retreat for those looking for luxury. Located in secluded parkland, there are 14 extravagant rooms, a three-bedroom converted stable house and two bedroom cottage on the estate. It has exquisite gardens for guests to enjoy and parkland that’s home to ancient trees and hidden wildlife. There’s even an outdoor pool area you can hire to enjoy with family and friends. 

Wolds Glamping, Pocklington

This is the ultimate glamping experience with a unique touch of luxury! These cosy, wooden pods come complete with central heating, LED lighting, electrical sockets, double glazing and pine beds. On-site, there are four, individual showers and a galley kitchen where guests have use of cooking facilities and hairdryers. There’s no roughing it here! The site is in walking distance of Pocklington where there are a variety of shops and restaurants, and is also ideally located for exploring nearby Burnby Hall Gardens, Bridlington and Hull.

Kilnwick Percy Resort, Pocklington

This ultra-modern, indulgent retreat is set in 200 acres of Yorkshire Wolds. The up-scale lodges sleep 4-8 people and each has its own luxury hot tub. Nearby, there’s a spa, 18-hole golf course and outdoor adventure playground, as well as the Glasshouse restaurant that serves up delicious, fine cuisine. Broadgate Farm Holiday Cottages, Beverley

These 5-star, self-catering cottages are just two miles from the historic town of Beverley, and not too far from Hull. Converted from charming period farm buildings, the cottages sleep from 4 to 12 and have wood burners.
