Meditation event at the Yorkshire Wolds Walking & Outdoors Festival

Reconnect with your spiritual side at The Yorkshire Wolds Walking & Outdoors Festival, this September. A brand-new meditation event has been launched for this year, taking place at the historic Kilnwick Percy Hall just outside Pocklington.

This peaceful walk will include a visit to the stunning Grade 2 listed building, that’s set in 47-acres of grounds with woodland walks, parkland and a lake.

The Hall has been the home to Madhyamaka Kadampa Meditation Centre for 30 years and is a relaxing place of tranquillity to rest and reflect. On the day, the guide will take you on a history tour of the Georgian Hall, where you’ll learn about the many people who’ve occupied it.

Following the tour, there’ll be an optional 15-minute meditation taster session to promote mental wellbeing, with the opportunity to recharge at the World Peace Café and have a browse around the gift shop afterwards.

You can enjoy the beautiful grounds from dawn to dusk at your leisure, with free parking too.

The walk takes place on Sunday 8th and Wednesday 11th September, with the tour starting at 11am. The optional meditation session takes place at 12:15pm.

Meet inside the main hall door at the front of the house. The walk costs £2.50 and booking is essential. Contact: Beverley Tourist Information Centre, The Treasure House, Champney Road, Beverley, HU17 8HE. Tel: (01482) 391672 Email: beverley.tic@eastriding.gov.uk.
