The Westwood, Beverley

The Westwood Restaurant prides itself on serving the best of British cuisine in a modern, yet relaxed atmosphere with professional and friendly service. Awarded a Michelin Plate in 2018, this Beverley-based brasserie is renowned for its locally sourced ingredients, including Bridlington white crab, Yorkshire beef and Keyingham strawberries. Set in the grounds of a Grade II listed former Georgian courthouse, the surroundings are just as beautiful as the dishes they serve.

Pipe and Glass, South Dalton

Run by James and Kate Mackenzie, The Pipe and Glass has held a Michelin Star since 2010. It has a relaxed bar area where you can grab a pint and a sandwich, as well as an elegant, welcoming restaurant where you can enjoy the full-blown Michelin Star experience. You can even dine al fresco in the restaurant’s beautifully manicured garden, where every plant is edible and used in the kitchen to create show-stopping dishes. Want to extend your stay? Book one of the Pipe and Glass’ five luxury boutique suites to make it a trip to remember.

The Star Inn, Sancton

If you’re looking for Northern hospitality, home cooking and award-winning Yorkshire puddings, this is the Gastropub for you. Set in the idyllic Yorkshire Wolds, The Star Inn serves delicious British fayre influenced by the best produce Yorkshire has to offer. The Sunday lunches are a firm favourite, as are the steaks and Wold Top ale pies. Having been previously listed in the Good Pub, Good Food and Michelin Guides, you can rest assured you’ll be served great food and first-class service here.

Whites, Beverley

Rated by both the Michelin and Good Food Guides, Whites is a small, intimate restaurant nestled in the heart of historic Beverley. Run by Chef, John Robinson, Whites showcases the best local produce and takes pride in making everything onsite, including its bread, complimentary appetizers and cheese biscuits. Choose from either the 4 or 9 course surprise tasting menu, that change daily according to what’s in season.

Winteringham Fields, Winteringham

Whilst not technically in East Yorkshire, this hidden gem can be found just a stone’s throw from the Humber, across the Humber Bridge. It has a Michelin Star and offers one of the most unique, relaxed dining experiences you’ll find in the region, perhaps even the country! The restaurant boasts an on-site farm, so the surprise tasting menu changes every single day, depending on what’s ready and at its best. The food is literally the freshest you’ll ever taste. Many people choose to extend their Winteringham Fields experience by staying over in one of the beautifully decorated rooms, which have all the luxuries you’d expect from a boutique hotel.
